Mudgee is a city located in New South Wales, Australia, approximately 3 nautical miles (5.6 km; 3.5 mi) north northeast of the Mudgee Airport (DGE). It is a part of the Mid-Western Regional Council and is situated on the banks of the Cudgegong River. The city has a population of about 10,000 people, and the surrounding area has a population of approximately 30,000. Mudgee has a rich history, having been settled in 1821 and is home to numerous heritage listed sites, including the Mudgee Gaol, St Mary’s Church, and the Mudgee Courthouse.
