Bole is a city in Bortala Mongol Autonomous Prefecture in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, China. It is located in the northwest corner of the prefecture, near the border with Kazakhstan. The city has a population of about 70,000 and is an important transportation hub for the region, with a number of roads and rail lines connecting it to other cities in the prefecture and beyond. The city is also served by the Bole Alashankou Airport (BPL), which offers flights to a number of destinations in China and abroad. Bole is known for its lively nightlife, with a number of bars and clubs as well as traditional Uighur restaurants.
