Valverde is the largest settlement on the island of El Hierro in the Canary Islands, located in the west of the island. It is known for its spectacular landscapes, with volcanic peaks, lush green valleys and a rugged coastline. The city is home to the El Hierro Airport (VDE), which serves the island, providing regular connections to the other Canary Islands and mainland Spain.
