Kangiqsujuaq is a small Inuit community located on the eastern shore of Wakeham Bay in Nunavik, Quebec, Canada. It is situated on the northern tip of the Ungava Peninsula on the coast of Hudson Bay, approximately 900 km (560 miles) north of Montreal. The town has a population of approximately 1,400 and is the northernmost community in Quebec. The traditional language of the community is Inuktitut and there is the Inuit culture and lifestyle are still very much alive and well. The landscape of the region is quite spectacular, with rugged mountains, tundra, and pristine lakes and rivers. The town is a popular destination for tourists, who come to experience the culture, wildlife, and natural beauty. Outdoor activities such as fishing, kayaking, and snowmobiling are popular, and the town is also home to a number of art galleries, museums, and cultural centers.
