Marin County Airport (NOT), formerly O56, is a public airport located two miles northeast of Novato, California. Novato is a city in Marin County, California, located along the Highway 101 corridor, about 30 miles (48 km) north of San Francisco. The city has a population of about 54,000 and is a popular commuter city for those working in the San Francisco Bay Area. Novato is known for its picturesque landscapes and its many outdoor activities, such as hiking and biking, fishing, golfing, and horseback riding. Novato also has a vibrant downtown area with a variety of restaurants, shopping, and entertainment. It is also home to the Marin County Fairgrounds, where the annual Marin County Fair is held each summer.
