Kolwezi is a city located in the southeast of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, in the Katanga region. It’s the capital of the Lualaba province, and is the largest city in the region. The city is located on the banks of the Lualaba River, and is home to a population of about 500,000 people. The city is known for its rich mineral resources, and is a major mining centre in the region.
